Minit

Privacy policy

Last updated 18 October 2026

Minit turns recordings of meetings, lectures and tutorials into written notes. It is available on the web at minit.aznmtech.my and as an app for Android and iPhone, and is made by an individual developer in Malaysia. This page explains what Minit stores, why, who processes it, and your choices. Minit follows Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

What we store

We use this data only to provide Minit to you: to transcribe your recordings, write notes, let you search, edit, export and ask about them, and to keep your account secure. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your recordings to train AI models.

Who processes your data

Recording other people

When you record a meeting or class, the recording contains other people's voices and what they say. You are responsible for telling them you are recording and for having the right to record, as required by law and by your organisation. Do not record where recording is not allowed.

How long we keep it

Recordings, transcripts and notes stay until you delete them or your account. Deleting a recording removes its audio file, transcript, notes and action items straight away. Copies held temporarily by the AI service while processing are deleted by that service shortly after.

Your choices and rights

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Recordings are kept in private storage and can only be opened by your signed-in account through short-lived links. On the web, your sign-in token is kept in a secure cookie that page scripts cannot read.

Children

Minit is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date above.
